Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about working with us.
Don’t see your question here? Send us a message and we’ll respond within one business day.
- 01.What types of organizations do you work with?
- We primarily serve churches, schools, and live event producers. Our sweet spot is organizations with volunteer or small staff production teams who need professional-quality systems and documentation they can actually operate. We work with rural churches, collegiate athletics programs, multi-campus ministries, conference venues, and performing arts organizations — mostly in Indiana but we travel for the right project.
- 02.Do you sell or install equipment?
- We are a consulting and production firm, not an integrator or dealer. We spec equipment, write procurement-ready lists, and help you compare bids — but the purchasing and physical installation is handled by your chosen integrator or electrician. That independence means our recommendations are based solely on fit, not margin.
- 03.How long does a consulting project typically take?
- It depends on scope. A documentation-only project (signal flow drawings and wirelists for an existing system) can be completed in two to four weeks. A full AVL design from discovery through final documents typically runs six to twelve weeks. We provide a project timeline estimate at the end of the discovery call so you can plan around your install or campaign schedule.
- 04.Can you work with our existing integrator or AV contractor?
- Absolutely. We often collaborate with integrators by providing documentation, field verification, and commissioning support that their scope does not cover. If you already have a trusted contractor, we can plug into the process at whatever stage is most useful — design, pre-install review, commissioning, or post-install training.
- 05.What does the discovery call involve?
- The discovery call is a 30 to 60 minute conversation where we learn about your current systems, pain points, goals, volunteer capacity, and budget constraints. There is no pitch or commitment required. We come prepared with relevant questions and leave with enough context to produce a project summary and rough scope — usually shared within a few business days.
- 06.Do you offer ongoing retainer or support arrangements?
- Yes. After a project is complete, many clients keep us on a light retainer for documentation updates, periodic system reviews, and on-call troubleshooting. Because we already know your system from the documentation we built, response time is fast and context transfer is zero.
- 07.How is pricing structured?
- Consulting projects are scoped and priced per engagement — typically a flat project fee based on deliverables and estimated hours. Mobile broadcast is priced per event based on crew size, equipment configuration, and travel. We do not publish rates publicly because every project is different, but we share pricing transparently after the discovery call. There are no surprise add-ons.
